We are having a unbelievable mild January. Just remember if the weather gets ugly to listen to KWIX-KRES for school closings. We are busy doing winter activities even if it is 60 degrees outside. We are also learning all about "germs" and how NOT to share them. Valentine's day is fast approaching. Get your valentines ready for our parties.

October news
Fall has officially arrived and October is just around the corner. Through September we have learned how God created our wonderful and amazing world, how sin entered and how God forgives us and still loves us. We have also learned that God is always with us and cares for us. We observed some of God's amazing creations as we have observed three praying mantis, Manty, Maxus, and Tinkerbell. We kept them supplied with grasshoppers. Tinkerbell disappeared (I don't think it was a good idea to put him/her in the same cage with Manty. Maxus (who was very fat) was skinny one day and we discovered a huge egg sac attached to the side of her cage. We returned Maxus and the egg sac to the "outside world". We also returned Manty to the "outside world" to make room for our four chrysalis. We are now awaiting the emerging of our "Painted Lady" butterflies.
We had a wonderful trip to King Hill Farm with our four-year classes and learned many things and saw many pumpkins. In the next few weeks we will be doing pumpkin activities. Three-year classes are busy learning to mix colors and make new colors as well as many fall activities.

September is here
We have had a great two weeks of preschool and are off to a great start. Everyone has heard all of the "rules" and are ready for routine play and learning. We are all learning to share, wait our turn, talk one-at-a-time, and be good listeners. Three-year classes have made it through a week of red and are ready for yellow and blue. Four-year classes have taken care of "A" with apples, acorns, ants and making applesauce. They are now ready for "B" and butterflies. We are also studying insects and looking for some praying mantis. If you see any, please collect them in a jar and bring them to us. Don't forget pictures are this week on Wed. Thurs, and Fri. Enjoy this cool fall weather. Mrs. M.
